Wyre Forest District Council 2018 Sports awards
The Unsung hero award goes to Kidderminster Tennis Club's Dave Sadler
Congratulations to our Club treasurer and membership secretary David Sadler who won the Wyre Forest District Coucils Usung Hero award in their sports award ceremony last week.
Dave said after receiving the award "I am very proud to receive this award as Unsung Hero 2018. It is an honour for me to have been nominated and then be declared the winner from over ten nominations in this category came as a complete shock. After receiving my award - a silver salver, a trophy and a plaque - I gave a brief speech in which I conveyed genuine thanks to Val, to Lisa for her effervescent nomination, to Dale Evans for selecting me for the Unsung Hero Award and for the support and generous messages of congratulations. I wanted to say so much, but I was so overwhelmed by the occasion one or two thoughts flew out of my mind! "
