Wonderful achievement – huge congratulations….!Extremely excited and proud to announce our inspirational coach, Tony Wright, has been honoured by Sports Partnership Herefordshire & Worcestershire at its annual awards ceremony last night, 4 November.
Tony – who has been our club coach, together with Lisa, for over four years – was presented with the prestigious Coach of the Year award by former international badminton champion, Gail Emms MBE, at the glittering awards ceremony and dinner held at the home of Worcester Warriors, Sixways.
A delighted Tony proudly said, ‘It’s the highest award in the area and I’m really proud to have won it!’
The events was hosted by BBC Hereford & Worcester with Gail as guest speaker and awards presenter.
We are looking very much to support Tony in the desire to further expand the club and secure funding for a third court.
